Message from GNT Leader – November 2025 Edition
Dear GNT Family,
In late November, I visited APU (Asia Pacific University) in Oita Prefecture. This university is characterized by having the highest ratio of international students among its entire student body in Japan. Many of the camp leaders belonging to this community are also graduates of this university.
Since joining this team, I have visited the university about ten times, and each visit has energized me through the students.
This visit coincided with the university’s 25th anniversary, marked by commemorative events. While their 25-year history included many challenging times, conversations with various individuals conveyed how everyone involved in the university has achieved evolution through persistent challenge.
The leaders who participate in our team’s camp activities are all wonderful individuals, brimming with a spirit of challenge.
I feel our team has also grown by learning much from these young people. I sincerely hope that through our team activities, we will continue to have opportunities to meet the university students attending APU.
And I want to convey to everyone involved in our team activities how wonderful it is that such outstanding international students have come to Japan.

11月下旬に大分県にあるAPU（Asia Pacific University）に行ってきました。この大学は生徒全体の留学生の比率が日本一高いという特徴があり、このコミュニティに所属するキャンプリーダーの多くも、この大学のご出身という状況があります。
私はこのチームに赴任してから、10回ほど、大学を訪れていますが、訪れるたびに学生の皆様から元気を頂いております。
今回は25周年ということで、記念のイベントが開かれていました。25年の歴史の中には大変な状況も多かったようですが、それでも大学に関わる全ての人が、挑戦し続けることによって、進化を遂げてこられたことが様々な方とのお話から伝わってきました。
当チームのキャンプ活動に参加して下さるリーダーの皆様は皆、挑戦する気持ちに溢れていて素敵な方々です。
若い彼らから多くのことを学ぶことで、当チームも成長を遂げてきたように思います。
今後も、チーム活動を通じて、APUに通う大学生の皆様との出会いがあることを心より願っております。
そして素晴らしい留学生が日本に来てくれていることを、チーム活動で関わる全ての人に伝えていきたいと思います。
