国際協力推進員滋賀県JICAデスクの桂さんから　公文GIC2022 子どもたちへのメッセージ

みなさん、こんにちは。
キャンプ４日目のWonderlandでお話したJICAの桂（かつら）です。
私は今回キャンプに参加して、みなさんの頼もしさにすごく驚きました。
自分の意見をお友だちに伝えることだけでも大変なのに、みんなは堂々と、しかも英語を使って自分の気持ちをしっかりと伝えることができていたからです！
それに、みなさんの自由な発想や考えを聞くことができてとても楽しかったです。
水を節約する方法や困っている村人を助ける一番良い方法について、私も思いつかないような素敵な考えがたくさん出ていました。
ロールプレイングゲームはなかなか難しかったと思いますが、今回、みなさんは日本と遠く離れた世界で困っている人々のために何ができるのかを真剣に考えました。その考えるということ自体がとても大切なことです。
実際に世界では水が無くて困っている人がいる。そして私たちはその問題に対して何かできることがある、ということを忘れないでください。
最後に私からみなさんへのメッセージです。
『どんどん新しいことに挑戦して、たくさんのことを経験してください。』
世界は知らないことだらけです。でも、行ったことない場所へ行く、食べたことないごはんを食べる、知らなかった人と話してみる、そんな毎日のチャレンジでみんなの世界はどんどん広がります。そして、それが海外でもたとえ地球の裏側でも近く感じてくるはずです。
これからもみなさんが世界に興味を持ち続けてくれることを願っています。

Hello, everyone!
I’m Katsura, staff of JICA. I talked about “World Water” in Day4 Wonderland time.
I was really touched by seeing you at the camp. Because all of you could tell your opinion in English without hesitation!
Then, your rich ideas made me feel excited many times.
You could come up with excellent ideas to save the water, and discovered the best way to help villagers.
It might be difficult to understand the problem of villagers and find the solutions in the Role-playing Game. However, you tried your best to help other people in a developing country. Thinking something and discussing with others were the important things. Please remember that many people are in trouble because of water shortage in the world, and that we can do something for solving that problem.
Lastly, a message to you.
“Try something new, and Experience a lot. ”
There are lots of things in the world we don’t know about. But new experiences in daily life will broaden your world, and you will feel that foreign countries are close, even on the other side of the earth.
I hope you hold your interest in charms and problems of the world.
