Camp leaders are students from different countries and regions who live in Japan. Their backgrounds are diverse, and not all of them are native speakers of English. In fact, EIC participants and most of the camp leaders speak English as a common tool for communication to reach a mutual understanding despite differences in mother tongue, nationality, culture, and background.
