Now: Studying at the medical university to be a doctor.

Dear EIC family,
Hello everyone:) Please let me share what I am doing now, and what I want to do in the future.

What are you doing now?

I’m studying at the medical university to be a doctor. I belong to the orchestra club, the chorus club, and the international exchange club. At the international exchange club, I sometimes welcome and support exchange students. I also have opportunities to go abroad. I really enjoy my university’s life thanks to many friends and the great environment.

Why are you doing what you are doing now?

The reason why I decided to go to the medical university is to reduce people’s worries about their health.

Since my childhood, I have admired doctors because they save so many people’s lives. Also, when I was a junior high and a high school student, I had some experiences that I truly realized the importance of people’s lives. These things made me decide to learn medicine and become a doctor who can support people suffering from health problems.

How EIC has been an influenced (learnt or affected) in your life?

I learnt that communication with people in English is so interesting. I was really excited when I was able to communicate in English with people who are from other countries. People from abroad sometimes have different opinions from us, Japanese people. I found these differences so exciting.

In addition, I learned the importance of trying everything I want to do without being afraid of making mistakes through EIC! So, after EIC, I try to challenge as many activities that I’m interested in as possible.

What is your dream, next challenge or goal?

I’m planning to visit the UK next summer to study and communicate with medical students from other countries by attending the medical English program. I’m sure that I will gain various perspectives and be able to deepen my knowledge, so I’m looking forward to attending it!

Message to EIC Family

Your dream will come true if you don’t give up and try everything you want to do. Have a strong passion and do your best for everything!
