Message from GNT Leader (Enoki san)
The GIC is coming up and our team is in the final stages of preparation.
We are expecting 120 participants this year. All of us will do our best to make this the most memorable event for each and every child who participates.
As part of the preparation for the GIC, my members and I made numerous trips to Oita to select, recruit, and train camp leaders.
This year, out of more than 300 applicants, we finally selected 26 people to be leaders. They came from various countries around the world with an interest in Japan, and they are energetic, kind, and have great personalities who are serious about helping children grow.
Every time I go to the camp, I am amazed by the energy they have.
I am looking forward to seeing what kind of interactions will take place between the participating children and the camp leaders during the 6 days and 5 nights of the camp.
August will soon be upon us. We will do our best in our camp activities this August. Please take care of yourselves and do your best in what you are working on.
GICの開催が近づいてきており、私たちのチームは最終段階の準備をしています。
今年は120名がご参加の予定です。申し込んでくれた子どもたち一人一人にとって、小学校生活最高の思い出になるように、スタッフ一同で頑張ってまいります。
GICの準備の一環で、私はメンバーと共に大分に何度も足を運び、キャンプリーダーの選考・採用、研修を行いました。
今年も300人以上の申込がある中で最終的に26名の方をリーダーに選ばせていただきました。世界中の様々な国から日本に興味を持ってやってきてくれた彼らは、エネルギッシュで優しくて、子どもの成長のために真剣になってくれる素晴らしい人格を持っています。
研修のたびに彼らの持つエネルギーに私は沢山驚いています。
5泊6日のキャンプの中で、参加してくれた子どもたちとキャンプリーダーの中でどんなやり取りが生まれるのか、今から楽しみです。
もうすぐ8月です。私たちはこの8月、キャンプ活動を頑張ります。
