Training

What if I cannot attend some parts of the training?
As training is very important part of the camp process, successful applicants who are selected to take the role of Camp Leaders are required to attend ALL trainings. If you miss any part of the training, regrettably you will not be allowed to continue as camp leader.
How long does the training last?
In general, the training will be divided into several parts and usually over the weekend. Each training usually starts in the morning and ends in the evening.

We will do our best to accommodate everyone’s needs depending on the situation. However, please also understand that we might not be able to fulfill all your requests. Please inform us in advance as early as possible.

You will be sharing rooms with fellow camp leaders (3 people/room), separated by male and female.
Do I have to teach English to the children in the camp?
No. In the camp you are not required to teach English to children like the conventional teaching in schools. Since it is an ‘Global Immersion Camp’, all you have to do is to commit your valuable time communicating, encouraging, motivating, praising and bringing out children’s potential. You and other fellow camp leaders will be executing various activities for the children. Activities will be explained and discussed during the training session.
What are the travel arrangements to/from the campsite?
All transportation fees to/from the campsite will be covered by the Kumon-Global Network Team (GNT) office. More detailed information will be provided during the training session.
